HAS PERDIDO TU PARTE DEL PERMIO?

Parece que mucha gente, al escuchar la palabra pecado, converten en agresividad defensiva. ¿Es porque la palabra es a menudo connotada por culpa? Por supuesto, si hay un sentimiento de culpa más que probable proviene de una sensación de convicción. ¿Sin embargo, la palabra "pecado" que parece ser repudiado por el pueblo, de dónde viene? Sin entrar en un largo estudio sobre el origen de la palabra traducida del hebreo y griego que reflejan muchos matices y sutilezas del "pecado" que se ve en sus vidas; Me gustaría conformar con lo que mejor puede describir "pecado". En el hebreo, uno "pierde el blanco"; en el griego, uno "pierde su parte del premio." Las Escrituras nos dice que todos pecaron (perdió su parte del premio) y están destituidos de la gloria de Dios, (Romanos 3:23)


Todos nacen con la naturaleza para ser rebelde. Esta condición es heredada a través de Adán; su naturaleza interna se transformó por su "pecado" de rebelión que trajo la muerte espiritual y la depravación, que pasó a todos los que vinieron después de él. Este carácter pasó a todos en la misma forma que todos nosotros heredarán las características físicas de nuestros padres. Todos son pecadores no porque pecamos; pecamos porque somos pecadores.
No sólo todos han heredado la naturaleza del pecado, pero también ha sido imputado el pecado a todos por la ley de Moisés, es decir, los mandamientos de Dios dada a Moisés. Entonces hay pecados personal que se cometen cada día por todos. Debido a la naturaleza de pecar todos tienen pecados personales desde inocentes "falsedades" a asesinatos y otros actos horrendos que se han cometido. Todo el mundo está condenado tres veces a causa del pecado heredado, imputado y personal.
Cada persona que ha vivido y está viviendo ahora y que va a vivir "perdió su cuota del premio." han errado el tiro y están destituidos de la gloria de Dios. Están espiritualmente muertos y lo será para toda la eternidad.

¿Hay una forma de salir de este dilema? ¿Somos todos condenados desde el momento de nuestro nacimiento a una vida de condenación eterna? Bueno, sí todos están condenados a una vida eterna de la muerte espiritual, que es estar separada de Dios. Sin embargo, hay una vía de salida al dilema de la condenación eterna. Dios mismo ha dado la solución. El pecado heredado, imputado y personal ha sido crucificado en la Cruz de Jesús. Ahora es "redención mediante su sangre, el perdón de los pecados, de acuerdo con las riquezas de Su gracia" (Efesios 1:7)
La mejor parte de esto es que es gratis. No hay trabajo, no hechos obligatorios, ni preguntar si posiblemente lo ha hecho lo suficientemente bien para ganar tal vez el premio de vida eterna y comunión con Dios, el creador de todo lo que existe. Muchas "religiones" tienen dogmas y doctrinas de las obras, que es herejía. La palabra de Dios dice que por gracia es uno salvado a través de la fe y que no de uno mismo; es el regalo de Dios, salvación y fe, no de las obras para que nadie debe presumir de sí mismo o a sí misma, (Efesios 2:8-9; énfasis del autor).
Dios ha amado tanto, ( aún, y siempre será- no es un hombre que mienta, ni es un hijo del hombre que El debe cambiar su mente; Habla y no actuar?, ¿prometa y no cumple?- Núm. 23:19), al mundo que dio a su hijo unigénito para que todo aquel que en él cree no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna (Juan 3:16). Y, ¿quién confiesa con su boca que Jesús es Señor y cree en su corazón que Dios le levantó de los muertos, esa persona será a salvo, (Romanos 10:9) es decir tendrá la vida eterna, ha ganado su parte del premio, pego al centro del blanco.

ARE YOU MISSING OUT ON THE PRIZE?

 
It seems that many people, on hearing the word sin, become aggressively defensive. Is it because the word is often connoted by guilt? Of course, if there is a sense of guilt it more than likely comes from a sense of conviction. However, where did the word “sin,” which seems to be repudiated by people, come from? Without going into a lengthy study on the origin of the word translated from the Hebrew and Greek which reflect many shades and subtleties of “sin” that one sees in their lives; I’d like to settle for what may best describe “sin”. In the Hebrew, one “misses the mark”; in the Greek, one “misses their share of the prize.” Scripture tells us that all have sinned (missed their share of the prize) and come short of God’s glory, (Romans 3:23)


All are born with the nature to be rebellious. This condition is inherited through Adam; his inner nature was transformed by his “sin” of rebellion that brought spiritual death and depravity, which was passed on to all that came after him. This nature was passed on to all in the same way by which all of us inherit physical characteristics from our parents. All are sinners not because we sin; we sin because we are sinners.


Not only have all inherited the sin nature, but also sin has been imputed to all by the Law of Moses, i.e. the Commandments of God given to Moses. Then there is personal sin that is committed every day by all. Because of the sin nature all have, personal sins from small innocent “untruths” to murder and other horrendous acts that are committed. Everyone is three times condemned because of inherited, imputed and personal sin.


Every individual that has lived is living now and is going to live has “missed their share of the prize.” They have missed the mark and come short of the glory of God. They are spiritually dead and will be so for eternity.


Is there a way out of this dilemma? Are we all then condemned from the moment of our birth to a life of eternal damnation? Well, yes all are damned to an eternal life of spiritual death, which is being separated from God. However, there is a way out of the dilemma of eternal damnation. God Himself has provided the solution. All the inherited, imputed, and personal sin has been crucified on the cross of Jesus. There now is “redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7)


The best part of this is that it is free. No work, no obligatory deeds, no wondering if you possibly did good enough or will do well enough to maybe win the prize of everlasting life and fellowship with God, the Creator of all that exists. Many “religions” have dogmas and doctrines of works, which is heresy. God’s word says that by grace is one saved through faith, and that not of oneself; it is the gift of God, (salvation and faith), not of works lest anyone should brag about himself or herself, (Ephesians 2:8-9; emphasis mine).


God so loved, (still does, and always will - He is not a man that He should lie, nor is He a son of man that He should change His mind DoesHe speak and not act?, does He promise and not fulfull?- Num. 23:19), the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life, (John 3:16). And, who ever confesses with his/her mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, that person shall be saved, (Romans 10:9), that is shall have eternal life, has won their share of the prize, has hit the mark.

Where Do You Stand?

The actions and words from this nation point to the issue that God is a none –being. The leaders of this nation on the other hand proclaim His name yet in the same breath reject Him by their deeds and words. They hide behind the law when it is of benefit to them. They are liars and hypocrites – "hypocrite," from the Greek “hupokrites” meaning an actor, a pretender under an assumed character, a stage player-



They ask God to bless America, but the question then is what god are they referring to? The gods of Hinduism, Islam, Krishna, Mother Earth, Mother Nature, the man who became god in Mormonism? The people blindly follow.


Jeremiah spoke to Judah giving them God’s plea to repent, to return to God – But they refused even after being told that they would suffer exile from the land and Jerusalem be destroyed. God, the Lord Almighty, the great I AM is immutable. He does not change (Mal. 3:6; Mk 13:31; Heb. 13:8)). In that Scripture answers Scripture, and in that all Scripture is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking and training (2 Tim 3:16) – What was prophesied to Judah by Jeremiah, to Israel by Isaiah, to those in exile by Ezekiel and Daniel, will hold true for today for those who reject the Lord God Almighty.


What about you? Where do you stand? Who is your first love? Who do you place first? What is truly in your heart? Do you give lip service? Do you place reverence to the “traditions of your denomination” that you learned by rote, to those traditions invented by man? The Baptist, the Methodist, the Lutheran, the Greek Catholic, the Russian Catholic, the Roman Catholic, the Church of Christ, the emerging church, and on and on and on?


Are you one of the people whom the Lord speaks of that comes near Him with your mouth and give lip service but having your heart far away from Him? (Is. 29:3) Are you like the white washed tombs that are painted pretty on the outside but inside are filled with bones of dead men (Matt. 23:27)? Remember that the righteousness of man is nothing but filthy rags to God. These words are strong; filthy from the Hebrew “ayd” soiled from the periodic menstrual soiling. Man looks at himself/herself as righteous but God sees man as being covered by a soiled filthy cloth.


Yet God has given all people a way to put away those filthy rags and be covered with true righteousness. A way to truly repent, to change and that way is through Jesus Christ. He came so that all who come to Him will not perish but have everlasting life (Jn 3:16; Rom. 10:5)

Is being good good enough?

The announcer on the radio said that America is great because it is good.  But Scripture says, "They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one." Psalm 14:1 & 3 - 4

How are we standing? Just listening and be aware of what transformations this country is going through. For that matter, all of the Americas; "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." II Timothy 3:1-5


Do not be decieved, God is not mocked what a man sows, that he will reap." Gal 6:7

So, Who Is Your Father?

God is not partial. His judgments are based on fairness and justice; He judges all: the Jew, the Gentile, the free, the slave, the young, the old, the male, the female by the same standard. God cannot and will not tolerate sin for He is a Holy God. Still, all must know that He does not delight in judgment and wants all to come to salvation; He has made a way for this for all. Having said this, those who turn their backs to Him rejecting His call of salvation, will be judged. The people. the nation, the leaders of a nation who turn their backs to Him, who blaspheme His name; who turn to idols and worship the created will be judged. What makes you think that this western hemisphere can continue denying God and escape judgment? If He allowed the Jews to be conquered, taken in exile, Jerusalem sacked the Temple demolished and expelled from their land for their idolatry from after the time of Solomon to the First Century; what makes you think He will look with special favor on America just because it calls itself a country that believes in God?

Don’t be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction. So will a nation reap what it sows. The nation that does to please its sinful nature will reap destruction.

Through Isaiah the prophet God spoke of His judgment against Jerusalem and Judah: “…People will oppress each other - man against man, neighbor against neighbor. The young man will rise up against the old, the base against the honorable … Oh my people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path. ( Does this sound somewhat familiar today over 2500 years later?).  The Lord takes His place in court; He rises to judge the people. The Lord enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of His people; It is you who have ruined my vineyard…” (Gal. 6:7; & Is 3).

So, where do you stand? Who is your father?

   And Jesus said to a group of upright, uptight, religious elite that they couldn't understand what He was saying because they couldn't hear His word.  He told them that they were of their father the devil, that they did his desires, that he was a murderer from the beginning ...John 8:44

    Two States, California and Georgia, define murder in their Penal and Criminal Codes respectively as unlawfully and with malice aforethought cause the death of another human being. California adds a fetus.  Georgia adds that malice is to be implied where the circumstances of the killing show an "abandoned and malignant heart".

   When speaking about inner purity Jesus said that what comes from the mouth, that is what is said, comes from the heart and that is what makes a man unclean because all that comes from the heart are "... evil thoughts, adultry, murder, theft ..." (Matt. 15:18).  God tells us in Jeremiah that the heart is decietful above all else and is beyond cure and that man will give an account for every spoken word and thought to Him. God searches the heart and examines the mind (Jer. 17:9-10)

Now, Jesus said that the Law said not to commit murder, but He adds that anyone who is angry and has thoughts of anger against anyone, that is the same as having committed muder. All thoughts, temptations come from within, from the heart and the heart is decietful above everything and beyond cure.

Jesus said

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. (Luke 16:13a)

So, who is your daddy?

Who is Your Father?

Those who are constantly hiding from the truth, who speak lies; conciously or, though hard to fathom, not being concious of it are following the natural state of the creature - that is of being apart from any grace exerted by God.

When Jesus was confronted by the those that were plotting against Him, they said that the only Father they have is God. Jesus inturn replied to them by saying that they were unable to hear what He had to say, that they belonged to their father the devil; they wanted to carry out their father's desire.That their father had no truth in him and that when he lies he is speaking his native language because he is a liar and the father of lies. You can read it all in context in john 8:31ff.

When a person says something that is not true, even to go as far as to say a true statement with the intention of being deceptive, that person is a liar. That is the natural state of all people.

"Whatever does not proceed from faith is sin." Romans 14:23.  This is a radical indictment against mankind of all natural virtue that doesn't flow from relying on God's grace.  No one can ever recornize the terrible condition of the heart by assessing it only in relation to others.  It is clear from Romans 14:23 that the depravity of man is first and foremost in our relation to God, secondarily in our relation to others.

Apart from God, one is not His child. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  There is no one good, no not one. To be a child of God, one must be born of God. "flesh give birth to flesh, but the Spirit give birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying you must be born again... unless a man be born again he can not even see the kingdon of heaven."John 31-21

JUST WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR??

Jesus said that all of the commandments could be summed up in two: 1) To love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your mind and with all your soul; 2) to love your neighbor as yourself. Now, we can ask the same question as the ‘Expert on the Law' (did and say, “Just who is my neighbor”? (Luke 10:33) I’m sure all of you remember the parable of the Good Samaritan. After Sunday School today I got to thinking on the following: A known young woman of ill repute, commonly called by society, a whore. She is known to be a prostitute; comes into the neighborhood and while soliciting to some local men she is taken by force and was date raped and left in the street. She got up crying, disheveled and tried walking away. Several of the same neighborhood were walking by and derided her and yelled insults and accusations towards her.

Let’s go a little further with this. Right at this point Jesus walks on the scene and asks what is happening. The people answer saying that this woman is a whore and has been enticing men in the neighborhood living an immoral life style and a bad influence on the young people in the neighborhood. Jesus asks what should be done with her and they reply that she should be thrown out of the neighborhood even turn over to the authorities.
 

Let me interject here that these people consider themselves ‘good upright Christians’. And yes, they attend Church every Sunday, go to their Sunday School classes and Wednesday night services and even home Bible studies. They are familiar with the Scripture.

 

So Jesus says to them that they are right, that is what they should do according to the law. Then he adds that the person or persons that is sinless should be the one to proceed. One by one the people that were gathered there start to leave. Why? Because they are all knowledgeable of the Scripture and now that all have sinned and come short of God’s glory.(Rom. 3:23; Psalm 51)

 After a short time Jesus asks the young woman who accuse her of any wrong doing and she looks up, sees that everyone has left and says that no one now accuses her of anything. And Jesus tells her that neither does He accuse her, to go in peace and just don’t continue anymore in her ways; to repent [change] her ways and sin no more.
 

But you may ask right here, what about the men? The men are not the issue at this point. The issue is: 1) Who is my neighbor? We are to love, [(agape), meaning benevolent, caring, love that embraces the truth, the love of men towards God, the love of God towards men, love expressed Christian to Christian from the soul, we can go on and on], others as we love ourselves. Our neighbor is anyone and everyone whether a true Christian, a none believer, our enemy. Don’t look at the speck of sawdust in someone else’s eye and pay no attention the beam in your own eye. Don’t be like the hypocrites of which Isaiah wrote, “they honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. (Is. 29:13)  Remember also, Jesus said that if you do not forgive, God will not forgive you. (Matt. 6:15) 

But the Good News is that the Lord God creator of the universe, gave up His position while maintaining His deity and taking on flesh, [what we today celebrate as Christmas] was obedient to God even to the death on the cross [we celebrate on Good Friday] so pay the price for us, and rose from the dead, [Easter]. Why must we forgive others? Because God has forgiven us!!

 God loved Israel, but because they had turned away from Him, He punished them for all their wickedness. The terrible events that ocurred to Israel should have shown Judah that God  carries out His warnings, He allowed the 10 tribes (the kingdom of Israel) to be carried away captive. They never have been brought back (about 2,700 years ago). But the kingdom of Judah went right on in their own sinfulness. All their religious acts was just a sham. God hates this pretense.  We too must take seriously the warnings of God.  If you continue to turn your back on God, profane His name, you will answer to Him.  There will be no defense for you have been judged already.

 They were severely burned. They cursed the name of God, who has the authority over these plagues. They would not change the way they think and act and give him glory. (Rev 16:9)  

The ungodly, it seems, never  repent. They will do what unbelievers have always done when things go bad: They curse and blaspheme the name of God. It may be  an accident in a car—no matter what it is, the response of the unbeliever is usually to curse and blaspheme. And in the end time it will be no different. The ungodly and evil will not repent any more than they do today. They will only curse the name of God.

"Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye" (Acts 7:51). "But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear" (Zech. 7:11). 

  Allow me to tell you that for now is the time to call on the name of the Lord Jesus and repent.  Listen to the Holy Spirit.  He is confirming the Good news of Jesus Christ.  Remember, today is the day of salvation, for tomorrow you don't know what it will bring.  You never know when your body is going to die or just as important, the Son of Man, who will come when you least expect Him.

Red sky at night, sailors delight. When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow. 

Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning.   A red sunrise reflects the dust particles of a system that has just passed from the west. This indicates that a storm system may be moving to the east. If the morning sky is a deep fiery red, it means a high water content in the atmosphere. So, rain is on its way.  This is a  proverb by sailors and there is one similar that farmers use to use for planting and harvesting.  We use signs to guide us along the way.

Yet this day and age there are more signs that point to the immenant return of Jesus Christ for His church.  Signs given in prophecies thousands of years ago.

Jesus Himself said, 

“When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

Maybe the economic situation the U.S. is in will not cause a collapse of the U.S. financialy, but the U.S. is close.  What a better time for iniciating a one world economic system than now.  Not only would it be beneficial for the U.S. but for the other countries and Europe.  A one world government - one world economic system.  One world ruler.

Look at the signs around us; what do you see?  They are all written through out Scripture, you have no excuse.    "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

A question.

"The state which endangers the Christian proclamation, [confessing the Good News of Christ Jesus], negates itself". Dietrich Bonhoeffer essay, "The Church and the Jewish Question." April 1933 - Today when the state says that I can not proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ any where I wish for fear of offending... Would this not be endangering the Christian proclamation?

Jesus said, "No one comes to the Father except through Me." (Jn.14:6). After His bodily ascension, Christ continues His work in the world through those He has redeemed— the Church functions as “the Body of Christ” and demonstrates the love of God clearly, tangibly, and boldly.  The Church is the Body of Christ because of these facts:

1) Born again believers are joined to Christ in salvation (Ephesians 4:15-16);

2) follow Christ as their Head (Ephesians 1:22-23);

3) are the physical representation of Christ in this world;

4) they are the organism through which Christ manifests His life to the world today;

5) are indwelt by the Holy Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9).

 

So the question is: By whose authority does the state, and inclusive all so-called pastors, ministers, and preachers, countermand Scripture and proclaim that the name of Jesus must not be proclaimed?

Two Events at the Second Advent

There are two phases which suggest that the is an intervining time between two events occurring inconjunction with His one coming. If we fail to observe these two stopping places, confusion will be ours. These two stopping places, shich namely are, a) "to meet the Lord in the air" 1 Thess 4:17;  "His feet shall stand... upon the Mount of Olives." Zech. 14:41.

The first event He is on the way down for His true church and this will take place in the heavenlies, (in the air).  The second event is connected with His millinial kingdom reign on earth.
