A través de los escritos del apóstol Juan "el mundo" se refiere al mundo sin Dios, el mundo que se organiza en oposición a Jehová Dios. Entonces, como aún más lo que ahora el "mundo" está en abierta rebelión contra Dios y contra el último reducto, y se ha proclamado por sus acciones como en desafío total.

Hay infinidad de maestros/predicadores falsos del Evangelio en esta época actual. Han venido de dentro de los creyentes y enseñan herejías que destruyen y niegan al Señor.  Estos predicadores llevaran a muchos a creer las doctrinas blasfemas . Ellos usan la mentira y explotan a sus seguidores, ( 2 Pedro 2 ) .

¿Por qué muchos caen por estos falsos maestros? Debido a que ellos enseñan un evangelio de la codicia, y el simple hacer lo que uno quiera, puede uno llegar al cielo . Pero Jesús les dijo todo lo contrario, Él dijo que, y cito de Lucas 21:12-13:
" ... Ellos pondrán sus manos sobre ti, y serán ustedes los perseguirán , os entregarán a las sinagogas ya las cárceles, siendo llevados á los reyes y gobernadores por causa de mi nombre. Será llegar a vosotros, en testimonio. “Jesús dijo a sus discípulos entonces, y eso incluye a todos los discípulos de hoy y los próximos días, que iban a sufrir persecución por causa de él . Jesús dijo: " Si el mundo os odia , sabed que me ha odiado antes que a vosotros . Si fuerais del mundo, el mundo amaría lo suyo; mas porque no sois del mundo, antes yo os elegí del mundo, por eso el mundo os aborrece . Acordaos de la palabra que yo os dije: No es el siervo mayor que su señor. Si a mí me han perseguido, también a vosotros os perseguirán: si han guardado mi palabra, también guardarán la vuestra " (Juan 15 , 18-20).
El hecho del asunto es que hay un costo de ser un discípulo de Jesucristo, para ser un verdadero creyente, por ser uno nacido de nuevo de Dios. Jesús dijo que todos los que  Lo confiese delante de los hombres, Jesús le confesará delante de Dios, pero quienes Lo niega delante del hombre, Jesús lo negará delante de Dios, y aquellos a quienes Él niega haber conocido será enviado a el castigo eterno del infierno (Mateo 7:21-23 ; 10:32-39 ) .
Que es el costo de ser discípulo?  El Apostolo Mateo fue clavado en el suelo y decapitado con una alabarda, hacha de batalla y lanza. Santiago el hermano de Jesús fue apedreado hasta la muerte por orden del sumo sacerdote Ananías en 66AD (CE). André el hermano de Pedro fue crucificado en una cruz en forma de X en Edesa. Marco el escritor del Evangelio que lleva su nombre fue arrastrado hasta morir por la gente en Alejandría de Egipto, cuando habló en contra de la ceremonia del ídolo Serapis . Pablo fue decapitado por "crímenes" contra el Emperador.
Saltemos a la Inquisición papal instituido por el Papa Gregorio IX en 1231 para la incautación de herejes por las autoridades seculares. Él comenzó una cruzada de crueldad inimaginable en contra de los "enemigos" de la Iglesia romana que incluía protestantes, Judíos y musulmanes. La Inquisición española torturó y quemó viva a la gente por ser culpable de nada más que estar en desacuerdo con la doctrina papal.
Pero la cosa no acaba ahí. Líbano 1991 Maria Khoury tenía 17 años cuando su aldea fue atacada por fanáticos musulmanes que estaban empeñados en convertir a todo el mundo por la fuerza. A ella y sus padres se les dio una opción, " Si no te conviertes en un musulmán serán muertos por disparos. " Dos días después, la Cruz Roja llegó a la aldea y encontraron a María ya su familia, habían muerto por disparos. En Irán, en 1996 Pastor Cristiano Mehdi Kibaj fue acusado de apostasía, la negación de la fe musulmana y la blasfemia contra Mahoma. Fue encarcelado, condenado a muerte, pero sorprendentemente fue liberado. Mientras gratuito, una " fatwa " fue emitida en su contra en un periódico de Teherán, y unos días más tarde fue encontrado muerto en un parque. Tenía sesenta y cinco años de edad. Y también vamos a mirar en este mismo momento del mes de marzo de 2014; pastor estadounidense Saeed Abedini quien tiene 33 años, mientras que en un viaje en Irán en septiembre de 2012 él fue sacado de un autobús por el gobierno iraní, para enfrentarse a una pena de por su trabajo anterior como un líder cristiano en Irán. Él ha estado en prisión desde entonces sin ninguna petición del gobierno de EE.UU. por su liberación.
Hay un sinnúmero de historias escritas más de esos seguidores de Cristo que han sido y están siendo perseguidos por su fe el verdadero " precio de la gracia." Pero, ¿cree que este precio, este costo se predica en la mayoría de las iglesias? ¡Jamás No! Ni siquiera en muchas de la ' “verdadera iglesias;” ciertamente no en la" iglesia emergente y en especial los que predican la doctrina de ‘sentirse bien' y prosperar.

ARE YOU TRULY A DISCIPLE OF JESUS?

Throughout the writings of the Apostle John ‘the world’ refers to the godless world, the world that is organized in opposition to the Lord God. Then as even more so now the ‘world’ is in outright rebellion against God and the last stronghold, if one can put it in that term, has proclaimed by its actions to be in total defiance.

 

There are myriads of false teachers/preachers of the gospel in this current time.  They have come from within the believers and teach heresies that are destructive and deny the Lord. This was written about by the Apostle Peter that they will take many with them believing the blasphemous doctrines. They use lies and exploit their followers, (2 Peter 2). 

 

Why do many fall for these false teachers? Because they teach a gospel of greed, and do as you wish just be a nice person, and you will make it to heaven.  But Jesus said just the opposite, He said that, and I quote from Luke 21:12-13:
^“…  they shall lay their hands on you, and shall persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name's sake.  It shall turn out unto you for a testimony.”  Jesus said to His disciples then, and that includes all disciples to today and days to come, that they would suffer persecution because of Him. Jesus said: “ If the world hates you, ye know that it hath hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.  Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also,” (John 15;18-20).

            The fact of the matter is that there is a cost for being a disciple of Jesus Christ, for being a true believer, for being one born again of God. Jesus said that all those who confess Him [Jesus] before man, Jesus will confess him before God,  but that whose who deny Him before man, Jesus will deny ever knowing them before God, and those whom He denies ever knowing will be sent to the everlasting punishment of hell, (Matthew 7:21-23; 10:32-39).

            Just what is this cost? For Matthew it was being pinned to the ground and beheaded with a halberd, combination spear battle axe.  James Jesus’ brother was stoned to death on orders of the High Priest Ananus in 66AD (CE).  Andrew Peter’s brother was crucified on an X shaped cross in Edessa.  Mark the writer of the Gospel bearing his name was dragged to pieces by the people in Alexandria Egypt when he spoke out against the ceremony of their idol Serapis.  Paul was beheaded fr=or ‘crimes’ against the Emperor.

            Let’s jump to the Papal Inquisition instituted by Pope Gregory IX in 1231 for the seizing of heretics by secular authorities and burned. He began a crusade of unimaginable cruelty against the ‘enemies’ of the Roman Church which included Protestants, Jews and Muslims.  The Spanish Inquisition tortured and burned alive people for being guilty of nothing more than disagreeing with Papal doctrine.

            But it doesn’t end there. Lebanon 1991 Mary Khoury was 17 years old when her village was raided by Muslim fanatics who were bent on converting everyone by force. She and her parents were given one choice, “If you do not become a Muslim you will be shot.” Two days later the Red Cross came into the village and found Mary and her family where they had been shot.  In Iran in 1996 Christian Pastor Mehdi Kibaj was accused of apostasy, denial of the Muslim faith and blasphemy against Mohammed. He was imprisoned, condemned to death but surprisingly was released. While free, a “fatwa” was issued against him in a Tehran newspaper and a few days later was found dead in a park He was sixty-five years old. And let’s also look at this very time of March 2014; American pastor Saeed Abedini who is 33 years old while on a trip in Iran in 2012 was pulled him off a bus by the Iranian government in September 2012, and said he must face a penalty for his previous work as a Christian leader in Iran.  He has been in prison since that time with little no request from the U. S. government for his release.

            There are countless more written histories of those followers of Christ that have been and are now being persecuted for their faith. The true “Cost of Discipleship”.  But do you think that is preached in the majority of churches? No! Not even in many of the ‘true bible based’ churches; most certainly not in the ‘emerging church and especially  those with the ‘feel good’ and prosper doctrines.

 

 

Relativism, Sexual Immorality, and Salvation

One of the controversies current today is the issue over sexual immorality. For some of the sophist it is an issue of ‘pick and choose’.  For some commentators both male and female the issue of adults having sexual relations with under age children depends solely on the sex of the perpetrator.  If a young girl is the victim it is viewed as a horrendous act, yet if the victim is a young boy and the perpetrator is a woman, well they say, ‘heck boys will be boys or words to that effect.  But it goes deeper than that. Morality itself has been placed on the  altar of relative worship.  But the problem arises that if one (1) issue is ‘relative’ then all issues must be relative or does one pick and choose was is and what is not depending on their own criteria. If therefore all things are relative then each individual that has lived, is living, and will live is accountable to nothing.  There can be no right or wrong, there can be no law. The moment one says that ‘something’ is either right or wrong then there must be something from which to measure that ‘act’ to determine its correctness or incorrectness.    

Having said that, one finds in the book of Leviticus,  18:22; 20:13: . . . “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination”; “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their blood guiltiness is upon them.”  In Deuteronomy 22:5, “A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.”

In Romans Paul furthers the issue: Rom 1: 19-32: “... the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,  because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.  For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.  For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing to be wise, they became fools,  and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them.  For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural,  and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.  And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,  being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,  slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,  without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;  and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”

            But the good news is that though sexual immorality was punishable with death, that is the reason that God Himself came and took on human flesh, was born as a human as Jesus for the sole purpose to take on the punishment of all sin against the law of God so that we would not have to pay that penalty. Those who violated the law before the first advent of Christ that died in their sins, were eternally condemned in hell awaiting the final judgment. But now, today those who have sinned, violated the law of God, can be forgiven of their transgressions and go from death to eternal life. That is why Jesus said to Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.” (John 11:25).

            There is salvation waiting for all. People have purposefully closed their ears and hearts to the gospel because they desire to satisfy the flesh temporarily regardless of the fallout. “Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” (Hebrews 13:4).

            The bottom line is that the individual person can change but only through the working of the Holy Spirit.  “Don’t be deceived because God is not mocked, what a man sows that he will reap.   For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” (Galatians 6:7,8).
