¿NUESTRA FE O LA FE DE DIOS?

FE - Es literalmente un milagro sobrenatural que nos concede una fe que es sobrenatural. Así que en medio de su falta de vida, en medio de su oscuridad, en medio de su desesperación, en medio de su ceguera, de repente, tienes vida ..

 La fe es un acto espiritual y un hábito, por lo que [la fe] sería imposible en un alma espiritualmente muerto. Pero Aquel que provee salvación proporciona los medios para disfrutar de ella [la salvación]. Si "nuestra" fe carnal es débil, sólo tenemos que clamar, "Señor, yo creo; usted ayuda mi incredulidad" (Marcos 9:24). Dios es el único creador, hemos sido acelerados de la muerte a la vida y somos nada menos que una nueva creación, somos hechura de Dios, creados en Cristo, (Efesios 2:10), no tenemos nada que ver con nuestra salvación, que recibimos creyendo con fe, las cuáles son un regalo de Dios, la salvación por la fe sola y la fe por la que creer. No hay nada que el hombre puede hacer por sí mismo para salvarse y para creer.

Nuestro Señor Jesús dijo: "Nadie puede venir a mí, si el Padre que me envió no le trajere; y yo le resucitaré en el último día. Está escrito en los profetas: "Y todos serán enseñados por Dios." Todo el que ha oído y aprendido del Padre, viene a mí "(Juan 6:44-45). [El subrayado es mío].

 Lo que constan en este "trajere"? Ciertamente, tiene referencia a algo más que la "invitación" del Evangelio. La palabra que se usa en el griego es más fuerte, significa poner adelante con poder y obligando al objeto, aquí la persona que se apoderó, para responder. La misma palabra es usada en Juan 18:10; 21:06, 11. Si usted consulta a los pasajes citados se encuentra que significa más que atraer. Impulsar sería una mejor palabra para dar la verdadera fuerza en Juan 6:44.

 Esto también indica que el pecador no regenerado es tan depravado que sin un corazón y mente sin cambios jamás llegará a Jesucristo. Esta conversión del corazón y de la mente, que es absolutamente esencial es un cambio que sólo Dios puede producir. Así que es sólo por el Trajere Divino que alguien viene a Jesucristo. No por ninguna fe de producción propia o instancias humano.

 Cuando el Evangelio se predica el poder del Espíritu Santo vence el mojigato propio del pecador y lo convence de su condición perdida. Es el Espíritu Santo que despierta en el interior del individuo su sentido de necesidad. Es el poder del Espíritu Santo que ha vencido al orgullo del hombre natural para que esa persona se prepare para venir a Jesucristo como un mendigo con las manos vacías. El Espíritu Santo crea en la persona una gran hambre por el pan de vida. Pablo cita al profeta Joel en Romanos 10:13 "Porque todo aquel que invocare el nombre del Señor, será salvo" (Joel 2:32) y continúa preguntando ¿cómo llamará al Cristo los que no han creído, y cómo creerán si no han oído hablar de Él? Para que cualquiera pueda escuchar, alguien debe predicar la Buena Nuevas. Luego Pablo termina en el versículo 17 al decir lo que se ha dicho al principio de este escrito que "la fe es por el oír y el oír por la palabra de Cristo."

Sí, es sólo por el poder de Dios que una persona es impulsada hacia Cristo, que el Espíritu Santo convence al pecador de su necesidad de salvación, que es el don de la fe que se le da a uno que trajere uno a Jesucristo para ser salvado.

La conclusión es lo siguiente, la fe que uno está obligado a tener es la misma fe de Dios, la cual Él le da a la persona y con la que trae uno a Sí mismo.

OUR FAITH OR GOD'S FAITH?

FAITH – “There has to be literally a supernatural miracle that grants to us a faith that is supernatural. So that in the midst of your deadness, in the midst of your darkness, in the midst of your despair, in the midst of your blindness, all of a sudden, you come alive..”[i]

Faith is a spiritual act and habit; therefore it [faith] would be impossible in a soul spiritually dead. But the One who provides salvation provides the means to enjoy it [salvation]. If “our” fleshly faith is weak, we need only to cry out, “Lord I believe; you help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24).  God is the only creator; we have been quicken from death to life and are nothing short of a new creation, we are God’s workmanship created in Christ, (Ephesians 2:10), we have nothing at all to do with our salvation which has come by believing with faith; both of which are a gift from God; Salvation which is by faith alone and the faith by which to believe.  There is nothing that man can do for himself to be saved and to believe.

Our Lord Jesus said, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.  It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught of God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me” (John 6:44-45). [Emphasis is mine].

What consist in this “drawing”? It certainly has reference to something more than just the “invitation” of the Gospel. The word used is very strong, it signifies putting forth of power and obliging the object, here the individual being seized, to respond.  The same word is used in John 18:10; 21:6, 11. If you consult the mentioned passages you will find that it means more than to attract.  Impel would be a better word to give the true force in John 6:44.

This also indicates that the unregenerate sinner is so depraved that without an unchanged heart and mind he will never come to Jesus Christ.  This change of heart and mind which is absolutely essential is a change that only God alone can produce. So it is only by Divine Drawing that anyone comes to Jesus Christ. Not by any self-produced faith or human urging.

When the Gospel is preached the power of the Holy Spirit overcomes the self-righteousness of the sinner and convicts him of his lost condition. It is the Holy Spirit who awakens inside the individual his/her sense of need. It is the power of the Holy Spirit that overcomes the pride of the natural man so that person is made ready to come to Jesus Christ as an empty-handed beggar.  The Holy Spirit creates in the person a great hunger for the bread of life.  Paul quotes the prophet Joel in Romans 10:13 “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Joel  2:32) and continues by asking how will anyone call on the Christ that they haven’t believed, and how can they believe if they haven’t heard about Him? In order for anyone to hear someone must preach the Good News. Then he ends in verse 17 by saying what has been stated at the beginning of this writing that “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ”.

Yes it is only by the power of God that a person is impelled towards Christ, that the Holy Spirit convicts the sinner of his need of salvation, which is the gift of faith that is given to one which draws that one to Jesus Christ to be saved.

The bottom line is the Faith that one is required to have is itself God’s faith which He gives to the person and draws that one to Himself.

EL BAUTISMO CRISTIANO y su ORIGEN JUDIO

Lo que sigue no es un dogma o doctrina , se dibuja formar un artículo escrito por Ron Moseley, Ph. D., y el Instituto de Arkansas de Estudios de Tierra Santa .

La iglesia debe mucho al judaísmo por su estructura como para incluir el Mesías , la Escritura , canon , la liturgia , el altar , el púlpito , las oficinas de la iglesia , las canciones , las ofrendas , la Cena del Señor, y así como el ritual del bautismo mismo . Como un rito de inmersión no fue iniciada por los cristianos, sino tomada de formas judías y paganas. Como aclaración al término pagano, todos los rituales se originaron con el Señor es el hombre, separándose cada vez más del Dios de la creación, que desarrolló una versión pervertida de las cosas que el Señor enseñó y mandó al hombre a hacer. En que el bautismo era una parte integral del judaísmo en los tiempos de Jesús, podemos decir sin ninguna duda que el bautismo en la iglesia de hoy originalmente era judío.

La inmersión se produjo antes que el sumo sacerdote llevó a cabo el servicio en el Día de la Expiación, delante de los sacerdotes regulares que participaron en el servicio del Templo, antes de que cada persona entrara en el complejo del templo, antes que un escribano escribió el nombre de Dios. Inmersión se requiere en el siguiente: 1). Al convertir al judaísmo y aquí hay tres requisitos previos para el prosélito: circuncisión, el bautismo, y el sacrificio (Maimónides , Hilkh Iss Biah XIII.5); 2). Inmersión después de que una mujer tiene su período menstrual (Levítico 15:28); 3). Para las ollas y utensilios para comer cuales fueron fabricados por un no-Judio (Enciclopedia de la Religión Judía p -263).

La inmersión es un proceso de purificación espiritual y la limpieza al antiguo Judío, especialmente en relación con desfloración ritual cuando el Templo estaba en uso. Aunque Dios no ha revelado todo su significado, su mandato es de suma importancia, especialmente para nosotros por el esfuerzo de Jesús en cumplir con él. Todos los mandamientos del Señor se dividen en tres categorías: 1). Las leyes morales o éticos traducidos juicios, que son necesarios para que el hombre viva en armonía; 2). Los rituales y festivales que nos despiertan a las verdades religiosas; 3). El tercer grupo a menudo no tiene ninguna razón explícita dada por su existencia, excepto para la identificación de Israel como pueblo escogido de Dios a las otras naciones (Deuteronomio 04:06). Este grupo de leyes se conocen como jukim y se traduce literalmente como decretos. Entre los decretos de este grupo son las leyes dietéticas, así como de inmersión ritual.

Ahora llegamos a un tema de interés para mí, este escritor: la inmersión tenía que tener un testigo requerido. En I Corintios 01:13,15; Mateo 21:25; Hechos 01:22, y Hechos 19:03 vemos que el bautismo en los principios fue mencionado en relación con el nombre de personas como Juan y Pablo. El agua bautismal en la literatura rabínica se conoce como la matriz del mundo, y como un converso salió del agua, se consideró un nuevo nacimiento que lo separaba del mundo pagano. Esto es interesante porque yo quiero que te recuerda las palabras de Jesús a Nicodemo: "¿Eres tú maestro de Israel, ¿y no entiendes estas cosas ? " cuando Jesús le dijo a Nicodemo de la necesidad de ser "nacido de nuevo del agua y del Espíritu.”  A medida que el converso salió de las aguas su estado fue cambiado y se referían a él como "un niño que acaba de nacer." En términos similares judíos del Nuevo Testamento se usan como " nacer de nuevo."

¿Y cómo se hizo la inmersión? Esto es incluso mejor. Hoy el ministro oficiante permite que la persona se incline hacia atrás y sr acuesta en el agua y luego ayuda a la persona hacia arriba. Pero en los tiempos de Jesús y me atrevería a decir por años después, el candidato para el bautismo por inmersión estaba parado con los pies un poco separados y las manos extendidas hacia frente. El candidato se sumergía en cuclillas en el agua con un testigo o un bautista haciendo el arbitraje . Tenga en cuenta los puntos del Nuevo Testamento el hecho de que Jesús salió luego del agua (Mateo 03:16) .

CHRISTIAN BAPTISM and its JEWISH BACKGROUND

The following is not dogma or doctrine, it is drawn form an article written by Ron Moseley, Ph. D., and the Arkansas Institute of Holy Land Studies. 

The church owes much to Judaism for its structure including to include the Messiah, Scripture, canon, liturgy, altar, pulpit, church offices, songs, offerings, the Lord's Supper, and as well as the ritual of baptism itself. As a rite of immersion it was not begun  by Christians but taken from Jewish and pagan forms. As a clarification to the term pagan, all rituals originated with the Lord it is man, as he separated himself more and more from the God of creation, who developed a perverted version of those things which the Lord taught and commanded man to do. In that baptism was an integral part of Judaism in Jesus' day, we can say without any doubt that the baptism in today's church originally was Jewish.

Immersion occurred before the high Priest conducted the service on the Day of Atonement, before the regular priests participated in the Temple service, before each person entered the Temple complex, before a scribe wrote the name of God. Immersion is required in the following: 1). When converting to Judaism and here there were three prerequisites for the proselyte:  Circumcision, baptism, and sacrifice (Maimonides, Hilkh. Iss. Biah xiii.5); 2). Immersion after a woman has her monthly period (Lev. 15:28);  3). For pots and eating utensils manufactured by a non-Jew (Encyclopedia of Jewish Religion p-263).

 

The immersion was a process of spiritual purification and cleansing to the ancient Jew, especially in relation to ritual defilement when the Temple was in use. Though God has not revealed all the meaning, His command is of utmost importance especially for us because of the effort of Jesus to fulfill it.  All commands of the Lord fall into three categories: 1). The moral or ethical laws  translated judgments, which are necessary for man to live in harmony; 2). The rituals and festivals that awaken us to religious truths; 3). The third group often has no explicit reason given for their existence except for Israel's identification as God's chosen people to the other nations (Deuteronomy 4:6). This group of laws are known as Chukim and are literally translated as decrees. Among the decrees of this group are the dietary laws as well as ritual immersion.

 

Now we come to an issue of interest to me, this writer: the immersion had to have a required witness.  In I Corinthians 1:13, 15; Matthew 21:25; Acts 1:22; and Acts 19:3 we see early baptism mentioned in conjunction with the name of individuals such as John and Paul.  The baptismal water  in rabbinic literature was referred to as the womb of the world, and as a convert came out of the water it was considered a new birth separating him from the pagan world. This is interesting for I want you to recall Jesus' words to Nicodemus, "are you the teacher of Israel, and do not understand these things?" when Jesus told Nicodemus of the necessity of being 'born again of water and Spirit'. As the convert came out of these waters his status was changed and he was referred to as "a little child just born". In the New Testament similar Jewish terms are used as "born anew," "new creation," and "born from above.") 

 

And just how was the immersion done? This is even better. Today the officiating minister holds the individual and allows the person to lean back and lay in the water then bringing the person back up. But in Jesus' time and I would venture to say for years afterwards, the candidate for baptism/immersion stood straight up with the feet spread and the hands held out in front. The candidate would totally immerse themselves by squatting in the water with a witness or baptizer doing the officiating. Note the New Testament points out the fact that Jesus came up straightway out of the water (Matthew 3:16).

MANTENGANSE PREPARADOS

 

Ha habido mucho debate sobre el significado de las palabras de Jesús acerca de la parábola de las diez vírgenes (Mateo 25:1-13). Hay una cosa que es cierta y es que el novio es Jesucristo, y esta parábola describe su regreso. Tanto el Antiguo Testamento (Isaías 54:4-6; 62:4-5; Oseas 2:19) y el Nuevo Testamento (Juan 3:27-30, Mateo 09:15, Marcos 2:19-20) El Mesías es representado como un novio. Tanto Israel como la Iglesia se describe en las Escrituras como la novia (Efesios 5:25-32) para el Mesías.

Sería útil contar con alguna información de fondo relativa a las bodas en el antiguo Cercano Oriente con el fin de entender esta parábola. D.A. Carson en " Comentario Bíblico del Expositor" la describe de la siguiente manera:

  "Normalmente, el novio con algunos amigos cercanos dejaría su casa para ir a casa de la novia, donde había diversas ceremonias, seguido de una procesión por las calles - al caer la noche - a su casa. Las diez vírgenes pueden ser las damas de honor que han estado ayudando a la novia, y que esperan cumplir con el novio que viene de la casa de la novia... se espera que todos en la procesión lleven su propia antorcha. Los que no tienen una antorcha serían asumidos como aguafiestas o incluso bandidos. Los festejos, que pueden durar varios días, se obtienen formalmente en marcha en la casa del novio. “La antorcha era o bien una lámpara con un pequeño depósito de aceite y mecha o un palo con un trapo empapado en aceite en el extremo de la misma que requeriría de vez en cuando volver a sumergirse para mantener la llama.... "

Los padres fueron los que organizaron el matrimonio con el consentimiento de la novia y el novio. Un período de muchos meses pasaría durante el cual se convertiría en claro, es de esperar, que la novia era virgen. En el día de la boda el novio iba a la casa de la novia para reclamar a su novia de sus padres. Sus amigos le acompañan y la ceremonia de matrimonio se llevará a cabo en la casa de la novia. En esa noche de bodas el novio se llevaría a su casa la novia. Se trataba de una procesión nocturna por las calles. La novia y el novio consumirán su matrimonio en la casa del novio la noche de la ceremonia de boda y habría un banquete en la casa del novio que suele durar hasta siete días.

En esta parábola las diez vírgenes como amigos de la novia sabían que el novio aparece sería pronto y esperan dar la bienvenida a la pareja y entrar en la casa del novio donde comenzará el banquete en breve..

Los discípulos tienen que entender lo que significa esperar con prudencia el regreso del Rey.

" ... El punto es simplemente que la disposición, cualquiera que sea su forma, no es algo que se puede lograr mediante un ajuste de última hora. Depende de suministro a largo plazo, y si es que se ha hecho, el discípulo sabio puede dormir con la certeza de que todo está listo,” [Nota : Francia, El Evangelio . . . , P . 947 . ]

Las cinco prudentes (. Gr. phronimoi , cf Mateo 07:24 , Mateo 10:16 , Mateo 24:45 ) vírgenes no sólo prevé la llegada de Jesús, sino también que están preparadas (cf. Mateo 03:02 : Mateo 4:17 ). Las cinco vírgenes necias lo anticiparon, pero no se preparan para ello. La preparación es lo que separa a los sabios de los necios. Ambos grupos de mujeres jóvenes se quedaron dormidos. Este período de espera corresponde al tiempo entre los primeros signos de venida de Jesús y su apariencia. Al parecer, sólo las vírgenes prudentes tenían aceite con ellas y las tontas, evidentemente, sólo iluminado por las antorchas o mechas sin aceite. [Nota : Robertson, Word Pictures. . . , 1:196 . ] En que el aceite representa a menudo el Espíritu Santo en las Escrituras las que tienen aceite podrían ser creyentes y los no creyentes sin aceite.

Poco después del anuncio salió el novio (cf. Mateo 24:27, Mateo 24:39, Mateo 24:5), y no había tiempo suficiente para que las vírgenes necias obtengan aceite, mientras que las vírgenes prudentes entraron a la fiesta de boda, y alguien cerró la puerta de la sala del banquete (cf. Mateo 25:34-4). Toda oportunidad se perdió, los necios no podían entrar. Sus gritos fueron en vano (cf. Mateo 7:21-23, Mateo 23:37). La negativa del novio a admitirlos porque habían dejado de prepararse adecuadamente.

Lo que hay que aprender es que todos los discípulos deben prepararse para la aparición del Mesías, así como anticiparse a ese evento. En esta parábola Jesús no estaba pidiendo que se mantengan en un estado de alerta, permaneciendo despiertos cuando los demás duermen, tan importante como lo que es. Pero estaba llamándolos a la preparación. La preparación consiste en confiar en Jesús como el Mesías.

¿Qué retorno de Cristo es este? ¿Es su regreso para la Iglesia, o se trata de su regreso para establecer el Reino del Milenio al final de la tribulación? Estudiosos de la Dispensación están divididos sobre este tema, y eso no será respondido aquí. Baste decir que el segundo adviento es, y las lecciones que se pueden aprender son relevantes para ambas posiciones.

La idea central de la parábola es que Cristo volverá en una hora desconocida y que su pueblo debe estar listo y mantener los ojos fijos en Jesús, en todo momento, mientras aguardamos su venida. Esto se aplicaría a cualquiera de los regresos de Cristo sea por su Iglesia o por los santos de la Tribulación. Se debe aplicar todos los días porque no sabemos si estaremos vivos de un momento a otro.

Estar preparados para la venida de Cristo en última instancia implica una cosa importante; hay que nacer de nuevo mediante la fe salvadora en Jesucristo ... Su muerte , sepultura y resurrección literal de los muertos (Juan 3:16, 14:06 , Romanos 10:09 y 10 ; 1 Corintios 15:1-4 , Efesios 2:1-10 ) .

Sinceramente, espero que no te encuentres a ti mismo "haciendo compras" (v. 10), cuando Cristo regrese. Tome el tiempo para llenar la lámpara con aceite. Sigue esperando y observando con alegría y expectación. Cuando Él venga por para lo suyo, va a ser en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, un nano segundo de tiempo y ya será tarde, se cerró la puerta.

BE PREPARED

There has been a lot of debate as to the meaning of the words of Jesus concerning the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). There is one sure thing certain and that is that the bridegroom is Jesus Christ, and this parable describes His return. Both the Old Testament (Isaiah 54:4-6; 62:4-5; Hosea 2:19) and the New Testament (John 3:27-30; Matthew 9:15; Mark 2:19-20) the Messiah is represent...ed as a bridegroom. Both Israel and the Church are described in Scripture as the bride (Ephesians 5:25-32) for the Messiah.
It would be helpful to have some background information concerning weddings in the ancient Near East in order to understanding this parable. D.A. Carson in the “Expositor’s Bible Commentary” describes the setting thus:
  “Normally the bridegroom with some close friends would leave his home to go to the bride’s home, where there were various ceremonies, followed by a procession through the streets – after nightfall – to his home. The ten virgins may be bridesmaids who have been assisting the bride; and they expect to meet the groom as he comes from the bride’s house…Everyone in the procession was expected to carry his or her own torch. Those without a torch would be assumed to be party crashers or even brigands. The festivities, which might last several days, would formally get under way at the groom’s house.” The torch was either a lamp with a small oil tank and wick or a stick with a rag soaked in oil on the end of it which would require occasional re-soaking to maintain the flame….”
The parents were the ones who arranged the marriage with the consent of the bride and groom. A period of many months would pass during which it would become clear, hopefully, that the bride was a virgin. On the day of the wedding the groom would go to the bride's house to claim his bride from her parents. His friends would accompany him and the marriage ceremony would take place at the bride's home. On that wedding night the groom would take his bride home. This involved a nighttime procession through the streets. The bride and groom would consummate their marriage at the groom's home the night of the wedding ceremony and there would be a banquet at the groom's home that would often last as long as seven days.
In this parable it is night as the bride's friends wait to welcome the couple and to enter the groom's house where the banquet would begin shortly. All ten of the virgins knew that the groom's appearing would be soon.
Disciples need to understand what it means to await the King's return with prudence.
". . . the point is simply that readiness, whatever form it takes, is not something that can be achieved by a last-minute adjustment. It depends on long-term provision, and if that has been made, the wise disciple can sleep secure in the knowledge that everything is ready." [Note: France, The Gospel . . ., p. 947.]
The five prudent (Gr. phronimoi, cf. Matthew 7:24; Matthew 10:16; Matthew 24:45) virgins not only anticipated Jesus' arrival but also prepared for it (cf. Matthew 3:2 : Matthew 4:17). The five foolish virgins anticipated it but did not prepare for it. Preparedness is what separated the wise from the foolish. Both groups of young women fell asleep. This period of delay corresponds to the time between the first signs of Jesus' coming and His appearance. Apparently only the wise virgins had oil with them and the foolish ones evidently just lit their torches or wicks without oil. [Note: Robertson, Word Pictures . . ., 1:196.] In that oil often represents the Holy Spirit in Scripture those with oil might be believers and those without oil unbelievers.
Shortly after the announcement went out the groom arrived (cf. Matthew 24:27; Matthew 24:39; Matthew 24:50), and there wasn’t enough time for the foolish virgins to obtain oil while the wise virgins entered the wedding feast, and someone shut the door into the banquet hall (cf. Matthew 25:34-40). All opportunity was lost, the foolish could not enter. Their cries were of no avail (cf. Matthew 7:21-23; Matthew 23:37). The groom's refusal to admit them was because they had failed to prepare adequately.
What is to be learned is that all disciples need to prepare for Messiah's appearing as well as to anticipate that event. Jesus was not calling for alertness in this parable, remaining awake when others sleep, as important as that is. He was calling for preparation. Preparing involves trusting in Jesus as the Messiah.
Which return of Christ is this? Is it His return for the Church, or is it His return to set up the Millennial Kingdom at the end of the Tribulation? Dispensational scholars divide over this issue, and that question won’t be answered here. Suffice it to say that whichever return it is, the lessons to be learned are relevant to both.
The thrust of the parable is that Christ will return at an unknown hour and that His people must be ready. Being ready means preparing for whatever contingency arises in our lives and keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus at all times while we eagerly await His coming. We may be working, eating, sleeping, or pursuing leisure activities yet we must be doing it in a way that we don’t have to “make things right” (get more oil) when He comes. This would apply to either the coming of Christ for His Church or for the Tribulation saints as they await His second coming and for that matter, it must apply every day because you do not know if you will be alive from one moment to the next.
Being ready for Christ’s return ultimately involves one major thing one must be born again through saving faith in Jesus Christ…His death, burial and literal resurrection from the dead (John 3:16; 14:6; Romans 10:9 and 10; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 2:1-10).
The five virgins who have the extra oil represent the truly born again who are looking with eagerness to the coming of Christ. The five virgins without the oil represent false believers who enjoy the benefits of the Christian community without true love for Christ. They are more concerned about the party than about longing to see the bridegroom. Their hope is that their association with true believers (“give us some of your oil” of verse will bring them into the kingdom at the end. This, of course, is never the case. One person’s faith in Jesus cannot save another.
I truly hope you don’t find yourself “going away to make the purchase” (v. 10) when Christ returns. Take the time now to fill your lamp with oil and take extra along. Keep waiting and watching with joy and anticipation. When He comes for His it will be in a twinkling of an eye, a nano second and it will be late, the door will be shut.

FUTILIDAD DEL HOMBRE

     En el transcurso del siglo 20 ha habido cerca de 45 millones de cristianos asesinados por el mero hecho de ser creyentes en Jesucristo. Compare esto con los 25 millones que han sido asesinados por la misma razón durante el lapso de los 19 siglos que comienzan en el día de Pentecostés. Ese promedio a aproximadamente 13.157 por siglo (131 por año) hasta el final del siglo 19, (1899) . Increíble, y en 100 años atrás, 45 millones murieron, eso es 450.000 promedio por año. Y hablar de la hipocresía, aquí en los Estados Unidos hay "cristianos" que oran por sí mismo, la salud, la riqueza y la prosperidad, al mismo tiempo que muchos cristianos están sufriendo la brutal tortura, el encarcelamiento y la muerte por creer en Jesucristo.

        Como está escrito en Mateo 24:9 : "Entonces os entregarán a tribulación , y os matarán, y seréis aborrecidos de todas las gentes por causa de mi nombre. "
Hay los que dicen que Jesús se refería a los días inmediatamente después de su ascensión, cuando el evangelio se empezaría a extenderse. Es cierto, pero también se refería a los últimos días, cómo serían las cosas cuando su regreso se acerca más y más. En el Monte de los Olivos, los discípulos se acercaron a Él en privado y le preguntaron , " nos dice , cuando estas cosas serán ? Y ¿cuál será la señal de tu venida y del fin del mundo [la época]”?
"Tenga cuidado de que no está engañado.  Personas vendrán en mi nombre, diciendo: Yo soy el Cristo, y un número se convertirá en el verdadero camino a través de ellos. Y noticia vendrá a usted de guerras y rumores de las guerras : no os alarméis, porque estas cosas tienen que ser, pero todavía no es el fin . Por nación se movieron contra nación, y reino contra reino, y habrá hombres sin comida, y la tierra se sacudía en diferentes lugares; Pero todas estas cosas son principio de dolores . . . número de personas que se convirtieron de la manera correcta, y le dará unos a otros y tienen odio por los demás. Y un número de falsos profetas [maestros / pastores] vendrá, causando error. Y debido malas acciones se incrementará, el amor de muchos se ha enfriado. "(Mateo 24:7-8, 10-12).

          Así que aquí estamos hoy, el inicio de la temporada de otoño de 2013 y no estamos más cerca de la "paz mundial."   Intentos del hombre son inútiles al encontrar formas de conciliar y vivir en paz. "Hay un camino que parece correcto al hombre, pero su fin es camino de muerte" (Proverbios 14:12). El mundo es bombardeado constantemente con la filosofía que no es más que un galimatías vacío en forma de un psicológico balbuceo de los celebridades - artistas, políticos, citas de personajes históricos, y avisos comerciales :

                        "Confíe en sus instintos " - Oprah ;
                        "Haz lo que sientes en tu corazón para estar en lo correcto " - Eleanor Roosevelt

            El hombre en América se ha distanciado del Señor Dios cada vez más en las últimas décadas creyendo la mentira de que el hombre es capaz de todas las cosas por sí mismo . Se ha olvidado y ha negado a aceptar las palabras de las Escrituras que dicen que el corazón del hombre “. . . es algo retorcido, ¿quién es capaz de tener conocimiento de la misma?" (Jeremías 17:9). Se ve en todo, incluso en aquellos en que se supone la gente de América deberen confiar, sus líderes. Mienten, y no sólo dicen mentiras, pero se auto-engañan y los ignorantes tragan todo, la línea, el anzuelo y la plomada, como dice el refrán .

            Si el hombre deja a un lado su orgullo y “Fíate del SEÑOR de todo tu corazón, y no estribes en tu propia prudencia. Reconócelo en todos tus caminos, y él enderezará tus veredas.” (Proverbios 3: 5, 6). El intento del hombre a resolver todas las cosas a su manera es inútil, porque el camino de Dios no es nuestro camino, el Señor declara: " . . . como los cielos son más altos que la tierra, así son mis caminos más altos que vuestros caminos, y mis pensamientos más que vuestros pensamientos" (Isaías 55:9. Si los Estados Unidos llegara a poner su confianza en el Señor, Él declara " . . . que a medida que descienden la lluvia y la nieve del cielo, y no vuelve más, pero da el agua a la tierra, y la hace fecunda , dando semilla al sembrador y pan al que come , así será mi palabra que sale de mi boca : no volverá a mí sin nada hacer, pero va a poner en práctica mi propósito, y hacer aquello para lo cual la he enviado . Porque ustedes con alegría saldréis , y guiar en paz" (Isaías 55:9-12). Por desgracia, el hombre prefiere creer la mentira que la verdad y por eso la ira de Dios caerá sobre el hombre, y mi conocidos, estamos cada vez más cerca al día de la ira de Dios.

            ¿Estás listo? Jesús dijo: “. . . Velad, en cada temporada, por lo que ruego que seáis prevalecer de escapar de todas estas cosas que vendrán, y de estar en pie delante del Hijo del Hombre." (Lucas 21:36). Hoy es la hora para la salvación, cuando mueres y no ha reconocido a Jesús como Señor, será demasiado tarde.

THE FUTILITY OF LEADERS

In the span of the 20th century there have been close to 45 million Christians killed for the mere reason of being believers in Jesus Christ. Compare that to the 25 million that have been killed for the same reason during the span of the 19 centuries beginning at the day of Pentecost. That averages to approximately 13,157 per century (131 per year) up to the end of the 19th century, (1899). Amazing; and in 100 short years, 45 million killed, that's 450,000 average per year. Then to speak of hypocrisy, here in America there are "Christians" praying for self, health, wealth and prosperity at the same time that many Christians are suffering brutal torture, imprisonment, and death for believing in Jesus Christ.

As it is written in Matthew 24:9, “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.”

           There are those that say Jesus was referring to the days immediately after His ascension, when the gospel would begin to be spread. True, but He also was referring to the last days, how things would be as His return would draw closer and closer. At the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately and asked; “tell us, when these things will be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world [age]”?

“Take care that you are not tricked. For people will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and a number will be turned from the true way through them. And news will come to you of wars and talk of wars: do not be troubled, for these things have to be; but it is still not the end. For nation will be moved against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and men will be without food, and the earth will be shaking in different places; But all these things are the first of the troubles. . .  numbers of people will be turned from the right way, and will give one another up and have hate for one another.  And a number of false prophets [teachers/pastors] will come, causing error. And because wrong doing be increased, the love of most people will become cold.” (Matthew 24:7-8, 10-12).

So here we are today, the beginning of the fall season of 2013 and are we any closer to a “world peace”? Man’s attempts are futile when finding ways to reconcile and live in peace. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death,” (Proverbs 14:12). The world is bombarded constantly with philosophy that is nothing but vacuous gibberish in the form of senseless psycho/babble from celebrities – entertainers, quotes from historical figures and advertising slogans:

“Trust your instincts” – Oprah;

 “Do what you feel in your heart to be right” – Eleanor Roosevelt

            Man in America has distanced himself from the Lord God more and more just in the last few decades believing the lie that man is capable of all things himself. He has forgotten and or has refused to accept the words from Scripture that say that man’s heart “. . . is a twisted thing, not to be searched out by man: who is able to have knowledge of it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). It is seen in all, even among those in whom the people of America are supposed to have their trust in, their leaders. They lie, and not just say falsehoods but say them in self-deception and those ignorant of the truth take it all, “hook line and sinker” as the saying goes.

            If man would lay aside his pride and put all his “. . . hope in God, not looking to your reason for support. In all your ways give ear to him, and he will make straight your footsteps. Put no high value on your wisdom: let the fear of the Lord be before you, and keep yourself from evil,” (Proverbs 3: 5, 6). Man’s attempt to work out all things his own way is futile because God’s way is not our way and as the Lord declares, “. . . as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9), but if America were to place its trust in the Lord God, He declares “. . . that as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and does not go back again, but gives water to the earth, and makes it fertile, giving seed to the planter, and bread for food; So will my word be which goes out of my mouth: it will not come back to me with nothing done, but it will give effect to my purpose, and do that for which I have sent it. For you will go out with joy, and be guided in peace:” (Isaiah 55:9-12). Unfortunately man would rather believe the lie than the truth and for that reason God’s wrath will fall on man, and we my, acquaintances, are coming closer to the day of the wrath of God.

            Are you ready? Jesus said, “. . . watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:36). Now is time for salvation, when you die and have not recognized Jesus as Lord, it will be much too late.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TRUE or FALSE- If Any Part is False it is All False

 

I can’t remember who, but it was said that “Religion is man’s attempt to reconcile himself to God - Jesus can be said to be Anti-Religion." The truth though, it is God Himself who has reconciled Himself to man. Without Him man can do absolutely nothing.

These notes are from Matthew 23 (verse 15) which is on an issue that is a bother to me…  

 The NASB reads: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.”

 

I. Two points to bring out:                                                                                                       

1.   There are phony teachers / religionists  that hunger for converts;

2.   There are phony teachers / religionists that are fanatical in evangelism; they will do anything, brave the world to convert one individual.

II. There are serious problems with their enthusiasm:

     These are missionaries of a false religion. They were reaching people for a man-made religion,  not bringing these converts to a personal relationship with God but to their own ideas of religion.

They were doubling the damnation  of these converts. They went after the God-fearing and devout people that were showing an interest in Judaism. Some were so pleased  that when they did convert, they became extremely zealous for Judaism. They would would be so indoctrinated that they became fanatics, more devoted then the Jews themselves. False teachers caused these converts to heap damnation upon themselves.

III. Is there a lesson to be learned from the “zeal” of the Scribes and Pharisees in evangelism?

1)  Their willingness to go. We, who know the truth, are unwilling to go. Where is our zeal to reach people?

2)  They were willing to go anyplace. Travel worldwide to reach just one convert; Where is our willingness to go even around the corner; at the work place; to the down-trodden and present Good News of The Merciful God? Are we afraid?

IV. What about today, is the true message of salvation through Jesus really being peached, or is it being white washed with an "attractive" gospel? False teachers and preachers are not only damning themselves but are heaping damnation on their converts.

 

V. True religion does not become corrupted with false beliefs. It holds to the purity of the gospel to the Word of God. It will not focus on form and ritual and ceremony. It will focus only on the power of God, for it is the power of God that will change lives; it reaches out to change people's lives by visiting them.

True pure religion does not become morally corrupt; it will not become entangled with the affairs and pleasures of this world. True religion stirs the people to separate themselves from the things of this world that arouse their fleshly desires and cravings. True believers of true religion keep themselves unspotted from the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life—all of this world. This is a necessary preparation if a person is to conquer the temptations and sins of this world.

EL PELIGRO DE CONTINUAR EN EL PECADO INTENCIONALMENTE (HEBREOS 10:26)

"Apartarse del Dios viviente", de acuerdo a la Escritura, tiene consecuencias muy graves. Esta apostasía denota un defecto, estar fuera, a la revuelta. Es el abandono total de sus creencias, su fe. Para hacer exactamente lo mismo que Alejandro & Himeneo, y otros, quienes intencionalmente hicieran un naufragio de la fe, al mismo tiempo diciendo, igual que hoy día, ser verdaderos creyentes de Dios, pero no seguir las verdaderas enseñanzas de la Nueva Alianza de Jesucristo.

Un creyente que está justificado debe vivir una vida santa y convertirse en un siervo de la justicia. Una persona verdaderamente a salvo no puede abusar de la misericordia de Dios. No puede caminar en el pecado, no puede hacer un hábito de pecar. Para ello es de pisar sobre la misericordia de Dios y hacer una burla de la gracia de Dios. Es decir que la gracia de Dios le da a una persona la licencia para pecar, y tal es una contradicción de términos, tanto una contradicción al decir que un hombre muerto está vivo.
Pero si después de haber "recibido el conocimiento de la verdad" continuas pecando voluntariamente entonces nada va a proteger uno contra el juicio de Dios. El punto es este. Un israelita que rechazó la Antigua Alianza sufría una sanción grave, por lo tanto, si rechazamos el superior Nuevo Pacto sufriremos una mayor pena. Apostasía bajo el Nuevo Pacto tiene el efecto de tener un desconocimiento total sobre el Hijo de Dios al despreciar, menospreciar la sangre de Jesucristo.. Aún más los insultos apóstatas del Espíritu Santo, que con gracia, solo por gracia, le trajo a la fe en Jesucristo y no por su fe, sino la fe de Dios. Pecado persistente es una actitud despectiva para la salvación asegurada a través del sacrificio sacerdotal de Cristo. Nada menos que rechazar la fe cristiana satisface las cláusulas descriptivas en el que se esbozan los efectos del delito "¿Cuáles son? a) Se pisotea propio Hijo de Dios; b) Cuenta la sangre de Cristo por inmunda; C) Se ha despreciado al Espíritu de la gracia, la misma persona que las duchas la gracia de Dios sobre los hombres, es decir, el Espíritu Santo.

Preste especial atención a que esto está escrito para los creyentes, no a aquellos que todavía tienen que escuchar la Buena Nueva y ser atraídos por Jesús. Esto es muy preocupante, sobre todo en estos tiempos, teniendo en cuenta la gravedad de un asunto que el escritor de la carta consideró entonces, basta con ver la cantidad de miles de creyentes que se están alejándose de la fe. Mira los muchos cientos, si no miles de maestros / predicadores que predican un falso evangelio herético diferente al proclamado por Jesucristo. Recuerde que Jesús dijo: "Y muchos falsos profetas se levantarán, y engañarán a muchos. ... Porque se levantarán falsos Cristos, y falsos profetas, y harán grandes señales y prodigios, de manera que engañarán, si es posible, aun a los escogidos"
