Here we should see clearly how God has exalted Jesus Christ by gracing Him with the Name. The "Name that is above every name".. In Isa 45 Yahweh is declared to be God alone, over all that He has created. It is very significant to note that Paul in his language substitutes "in the name of Jesus" for the "to me" in Isa 45:23. And that it is every tongue, every nation, that will confess the Lord is Jesus Christ. That is the Lord God is Jesus Christ.
Let us "keep it simple", you say that you believe that the Scripture is the inerrant word of God. If that is true, then you must believe that Jesus Christ is God; then Jesus being God we see as it is written, "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent [change his mind]; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" (Deut. 23:19).
So then Jesus, being God and can not lie, and will do what He says He will do, said according to the inerrant word,
"...He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you." (John 14:16-17). And Paul also writes in his letter to the Corinthians, "Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?" (1Cor. 6:19).
So then when an unbeliever believes and is born of the Holy Spirit, that is the persons spirit is recreated, (born again) that person's body is then the temple (residence) of the Spirit of God. Why then do we sin by disobeying the commandment of the Lordand not put away pride? We brag (pride) each time we bring up our sinful past. We have to out do each other. We brag (pride) on how much God has blessed us materially above all others. We brag (pride) on how how we "bring" people to Christ.
This should be a warning! Jesus, the one we say is Lord, said and I quote: "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him;..." (John 6:44); and "I am the vine you are the branches, ... apart from Me you can do nothing". (John 15:5)
