We are coming up this Sunday April 8th, to what should be the most important day for the true Christian. The day in which True Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Paul explains the importance of the resurrection of Christ in his first letter to the Corinthians. Some in Corinth did not believe in the resurrection therefore Paul outlines six consequences if there were no resurrection: 1) preaching Jesus Christ would be senseless (v. 14); 2) faith in Christ would be useless (v. 14); 3) all the witnesses and preachers of the resurrection would be liars (v. 15); 4) no one would be redeemed from sin (v. 17); 5) all former believers would have perished (v.18); and 6) Christians would be the most pitiable people on the earth (v. 19). But Christ indeed has risen from the dead and “has become the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep” (v. 20), assuring that we will follow Him in resurrection.
Si Jesucristo no hubiera sido crucificado y matado en Galgatha, toda la raza humana todavía llevaría la culpa de pecado en ellos. Pero Él murió, tomando nuestros pecados sobre Él. Cuando una persona es ejecutada para un delito mayor, una vez que aquella persona está muerta, aquel individuo ya no lleva los gastos de aquel delito. Aquella persona ha muerto a aquel delito, Nosotros, como es escrito, hemos muerto hacia el pecado, morimos con Cristo, pero porque Él se resucito el tercer día, realizando la promesa del Padre, también vivimos en Cristo.
Pues Cristo, al morir, murió de una vez para siempre respecto al pecado; pero al vivir, vive para Dios. Así también, ustedes considérense muertos respecto al pecado, pero vivos para Dios en unión con Cristo Jesús. (Romanos 610-11)
If Jesus Christ had not been crucified and put to death on Galgatha, all of the human race would still carry the guilt of sin on them. But He died, taking our sins upon Him. When a person is executed for a capital crime, once that person is dead, that individual no longer carries the charges of that crime. That person has died to that crime, We to, as it is written, have died to sin, we died with Christ, but because He rose on the third day, fulfilling the promise of the Father, we also live in Christ.
Rom. 6:10, “For the death that He died, He died to sin, once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.”
Rom. 6:11, “Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
Este domingo, 8 de abril debería ser el día más importante para el cristiano verdadero. El día en el cual los verdaderos cristianos celebran la resurrección de Jesucristo.
Pablo explica la importancia de la resurrección de Cristo en su primera carta a Corintos. Unos en Corinto no creyeron en la resurrección por lo tanto que Pablo perfile seis consecuencias si no hubiera ninguna resurrección: perdicar Jesucristo 1) sería insensato (v. 14); 2) la fe en Cristo sería inútil (v. 14); 3) todos los testigos y los predicadores de la resurrección serían mentirosos (v. 15); 4) nadie sería redimido del pecado (v. 17); 5) todos los ex-creyentes habrían fallecido (v.18); y 6) los cristianos serían la mayor parte de personas lastimosas en la tierra (v. 19).
