What Scripture did the early Christians study? Paul told Timothy that all Scripture is God breathed (2 Tim. 3:16), from the Spirit of God who is unchanging, immutable, ......God, who is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow His word from the past given to Israel is as valid for us today as it was for Israel then.
Therefore:
"Now as for you, son of man, say to the house of Israel, 'Thus you have spoken, saying, "Surely our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we are rottin away in them; how then can we survive?"' (Ezekiel 33:10) . then I will do this to you: I will bring upon you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and drain away your life. You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it.....Those of you who are left will waste away in the lands of their enemies because of their sins; also because of their fathers' sins they will waste away. (Leviticus 26:16, 39)
“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. (Matthew 24:33,34).
And you oh man, though no one can come to Jesus unless God the Father draws him, hearing His word is His call,... God is sovereign, but you oh man are responsible,......
