We are not to conform ourselves to this world, that is to act and put on the appearance of all that is around us which is ever changing to the whims and desires of the world. All that we see is temporary, just like our clothing, we wear one thing during the day and change in the evening. But we are to transform, metmorphe, our inner being, our real being, our mind, by putting on the mind of Christ. Only God can make that transformation. Paul tells us in his letter to the Philippians that he is confident, (Philippians 1:6), that he has never had the slightest doubt in his mind that God, "who started this great work" in us would keep at it and bring it perfection on the very day Jesus Christ returns. He can and will transform our minds, our inner being with the same power He exercised, He used, in Christ when He raised Him from the dead. (Ephesians 1:19-20).
No debemos conformarnos a este mundo, que es actuar y poner en la apariencia de todo lo que está a nuestro alrededor, que siempre está cambiando a los caprichos y deseos del mundo. Todo lo que vemos es temporal, al igual que nuestra ropa, nos ponemos una cosa durante el día y otra cosa en la noche. Pero vamos a transformar, metmorphe, nuestro ser real, nuestra mente, poniendonos la mente de Cristo. Sólo Dios puede hacer esa transformación. Pablo nos dice en su carta a los filipenses que está seguro, de que él nunca ha tenido la más mínima duda en su mente, (filipenses 1:6), que Dios, "que comenzó esta gran obra" (Efesios 1:19-20), en nosotros mantendrá la obra hasta que conseguimos la perfección en el mismo día que Jesús Cristo regrese. Él puede y va a transformar nuestra mente, nuestro ser real con el mismo poder que ejerció en Cristo, resucitándole de los muertos.
